Wakefield’s Transports Settlers Bush Dance

Saturday 22nd August, 8.00pm to 12 midnight! 

The dance is being held at the Wakefield's Transport Depot in Main Avenue Merbein. 

Many people have fond memories of the 50th Merbein Celebratory Dance and Welcome Home Dance after the WW2.

At the 50 year celebrations there were 2,000 people who attended the dance. A nostalgic evening is promised and you are encouraged to dress in clothes of "yesteryear". There will be continuous music supplied by both Steve Currans’s BUSHFIRE Band for the young at heart and Bev Martin for the Old Time dancers.
  • Entry is 16 years and over
  • Tickets will be $15 each
  • Ladies are asked to bring a plate of cakes  
  • Sandwiches will be supplied along with tea and coffee.

A bar will be set up by Merbein Hotel and it is a strictly no glass event. 

As the area is very large and open, warm dress will be required.

There is a NO BYO licence.

Lucky door prize and prizes for novelty events will form part of the evening.
