‘Merbein Celebrations of a Centenary August 14 - 23 2009’ will be launched by Cr. Vernon Knight at the Merbein RSL Rooms on Friday 13th August, 2010 at 5.30pm.
The 233 page book, compiled by Bernadette Wells for the Merbein Centenary Committee, details all centenary events with accompanying photographs. Also included are all entries in the photographic competition, entries in the street parade and a section on locals and visitors who were photographed at the various events. The index lists the names of 100’s of identified people in the publication. The book will retail at $30 and only a limited number of books have been printed. Everyone is welcome to attend the book launch.
