| Hello all my name is Ann Burgess (now Halden) and I attended Merbein Higher Elementary along with my brother David from 1952 to 1957. Unfortunately will be away all of August and cannot attend the celebrations but would love to hear from anyone from those years. Now live in Moama NSW |

My name is Dick Lee. I have created a Facebook reunion page for students who started at Merbein Higher Elementary School in 1947.

| Hi everyone! I had hoped to be able to attend our centenary but it is looking a bit difficult so thought I'd write instead.I'm from the fifties!! Joan Norman. I attended from Grade 3 with Mrs. Jamieson through to Intermediate in around 1957. I have a photo of the Prefects and House Captains of that year.... if any one would like a copy let me know. It is of Terry Flenley, Colin Avery, Kevin McMullan, Peter Thomas, Dennis Griffin and Bill Tyers...Meryl Mcphee, Eve Geaorge, Beverley Forbes and Anne Burgess. |

| My name is Ken West my wife and are coming to merbein 14-08 until 17-08. I attended merbein school from 1950 until 1959. We lived on Quandong av. I played football for the merbein under 16, under 18, and 2 years in the reserves. between 1959-1964. Would like to see your film Dick Newland I was in Ians year at school. Looking forward to carching up with many of my old friends from years ago. Colin gardener was in my yr. |

| MyHusband will be in Merbein for the first few days mid Aug, Hope to catch up with any one from my School years. I have lived in Adelaide for many years> My MUm Edna West Nee Daughter of Fred Farrant is still with us, is in care close to where we live She will be 95 soon |

| Hi Another one from the late fiftys and sixties....Len Gardner..Main ave Merbein...Been in Melb a long time but intend to buy a place in Merbein in the next year or two...My brother Col lives on Channel rd Merbein and has done for some years...I went to Merbein Primary with dudes like..Graham and Royce Pitcher....Malcolm Mitting...Kevin Walters...Col Oreilly...Max Davis and the Trefene clan...Worked at Wallaces Bakery as a kid with Phil Sedgman and Bob Martin and Ivor Trefene...also went to school with Ian May..Jack Cross was our Sixth grade teacher and i think Skipper Hartman was our Fifth grade Teacher... I bought a Pushy off him one time...He used to breed Budgies..And i recall our local crowd controllers were Bill Miles and Jack Thomas...needless to say i got to know them quite well..lol....so i hope to be floating around town some time during the Celebrations and would be pleased to here from any one...cheers....Len Gardner.. |

| Re Joy's enquiry about a class reunion. I am very keen to see one happen, but unfortunately can't help much as I am currently on a filming assignment in north oz, and won't be back home till just before the centenary. |
