Hi- Laurel Donaldson, (was and still is). It would be lovely to see and talk to any past Merbein friends and acquaintances, particularly my wonderful peers from year 12 Merbein HIgh. Some of the best years. As ten days is a wide time frame many who do attend the celebrations may miss each other. I would love to hear from any of you.Send me an email. I do get 'home' quite often from Ballarat, my home since teacher training and would love to catch up. |

| From Lindsay Cupper: On 24/6 I posted a response to Joy Milne's enquiry. As well as forgetting to put my name to it (not alzheimers - just my normal absentmindedness!) I made the mistake of thinking Joy was referring to the class that started at MHS in '62. I realise now she was referring to grade 6, Merbein Primary, that being the only year John Arnold and I attended the same class. Anyway, it would be great to get together with old schoolmates from any era, so come on, let's get something happening! |

| Hi! I'm Barbara Gatliff (now Welllock). My father was manager of the State Savings Bank from 1943 to May 1950. My mother taught Sunday School at St. John's. I have 2 older brother Ted, who was at Merbein HES & Ian who went to Mildura HS. My 2 older sisters Pat, who worked in the office at Mildara winery,& Marion, who lived in Melbourne, have both died, I was at Merbein HES from grade 2 to form 2, in Grevillea (red) house. I don't suppose they have "house" now! I married Jan.1958 & with my husband Peter shifted to Mildura. We both taught at the High School. I left to have a baby, our first 2 children were born at Mildura Base Hospital. We left Mildura Dec.'62. I'd like to come to the celebtations but it doesn't look as if I'll be able to arrange it. Would enjoy hearing from anyone who remembers me. |
