The Rogers' clan from the pumping station are very disappointed to have missed this momentous occasion and the chance to catch up with old friends and tour their old stomping grounds esp. the pumping station! Susan, Anne, Kate and Robert (sadly Butch is no longer with us).

Congratulations to the hard working Merbein Centenary Committee on being awarded the "Community Event of The Year" by the Mildura Rural City Council, announced at the Australia Day Breakfast. Worthy winners amongst a quality field.
Also, one of the committee, Ray Barraclough, was awarded Citizen of the year!
Tops off a great celebratory year for our little old town of MERBEIN!
Kevin McCarthy.

Congratulations, Merbein, you are missed

I am sorry I missed the big event. Merbein holds some great memories for me and my brother, Bob Impey, has returned to Merbein and I visit home every so often to see my Mom amd Bob. It was a wonderful experience to see some of the names of my childhood in the email messages. I am now living in Colorado at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, just north of Denver.

If anyone who knows me would like to catch up I would be stoked to hear from you - it has been so long since I have had any contact with the folks of my childhood.

Have a great new year, Merbein, you will always be home to me.

Regards, Daryl Impey
